SCBA Hosts GSE CEO
The SCBA hosted GSE CEO John Moran speak at its luncheon on June 17, 2009. GSE, a leading global provider of real-time simulation and training solutions to the power, process, manufacturing and government sectors, has its corporate headquarters in Eldersburg, Maryland.
GSE Systems recently relocated its worldwide headquarters from
Baltimore County to Eldersburg in the old London Fog building at 1332
Londontown Blvd. The company specializes in nuclear, conventional and
petroleum based power generation simulations. In short, they develop
programs to help train engineers who help to run various methods of power
generation, from nuclear to coal-fired power plants. According to Moran the
company built 86 of the 100 simulators in the United States. It is also
involved in overseas work, having locations in Sweden and China, and working
with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“The company enjoys a very strong presence in the industry,”
Moran explained to his business audience.
The movement to Eldersburg, he said, has been a positive
experience. He added that the workers enjoyed the new location as well. “We
hope to be part of the Carroll community for some time to come,” Moran
stated.
